AI Readiness Assessment
AI is already in the business. Is the business ready for it?
An AI readiness assessment examines whether your organisation has the data, processes, people, governance, technology and direction to use artificial intelligence (AI) safely and usefully at scale. I turn that evidence into a clear view of the gaps, their owners and the order in which to address them.

You may have several pilots, enthusiastic teams and a board asking for a plan. Those are useful starting points. They do not yet tell you which parts of the business can support wider use.
I help leadership teams decide where to proceed, where preparation comes first and which conditions must be met before the next investment. A tool demonstration cannot settle those questions. Evidence from the business can.
When this is the right work
This assessment fits when AI tools have spread across functions without one reliable inventory, sensitive information is entering new workflows, or agents are being tried before oversight is agreed. It also fits when a board, investor or chief executive needs a defensible readiness view before committing budget.
The work starts with internal operations and an agreed business boundary. The personal AI readiness diagnostic on this website answers a different question about an individual's readiness. It is not a substitute for this organisational assessment.
What I examine
I review the six areas together. A strong platform cannot compensate for unclear data permissions. A policy is weak evidence if nobody can explain how it changes daily work.
Each finding carries its source and a confidence assessment. A score on limited evidence stays visibly different from a score supported by documents, interviews and observed practice. Missing evidence becomes a gap to resolve.
Two ways to scope the assessment
Lite: a clear starting position
Three weeks. ₹5,00,000, excluding applicable goods and services tax (GST).
Lite covers up to six leadership interviews, about 20 documents and two sponsor working sessions. You receive a readiness snapshot, a register of up to eight blockers, a 90 day plan and a written summary with a 90 minute leadership readout. The initial list of AI uses comes from the evidence reviewed; it is not a complete inventory.
Full: the diagnosis behind a larger decision
Five weeks. ₹11,00,000, excluding applicable GST.
Full covers up to six functions, 14 leadership interviews, about 40 documents and five working sessions. The six outputs are the readiness diagnosis, gap maps, evidence log with AI use inventory and blocker register, people and adoption view, a roadmap with decision gates, and a board and executive narrative. The inventory adds a short staff survey and licence and expense checks within scope.
How the work runs
We agree the decision, sponsor, boundary and evidence request at kickoff. I interview the people who own the work, review the available material and test emerging findings with the sponsors. The final discussion resolves ownership and the conditions for the next step.
Delivery is remote. Your sponsor needs time to make decisions and help secure the documents and interviews. Dates depend on those inputs arriving as agreed in the statement of work.
Evidence from an assessment
In an anonymised assessment for a technology enabled business, I reviewed AI tools against available financial records, separated direct AI spending from platforms with embedded AI and examined readiness across the six areas. The delivered roadmap made ownership, dependencies and measurement requirements visible.
This was assessment and decision support. The case does not claim realised savings, implemented pilots or achieved investment returns. Read the assessment case.
Questions before you commission it
Does this include building AI systems?
No. Building, configuring or deploying tools, agents, models and data pipelines sit outside this assessment. Legal interpretation of contracts, privacy and regulation stays with your qualified advisers.
Will it tell us which use cases are worth funding?
The assessment establishes readiness. Detailed use case screening and economics sit in AI Value Analysis. We can scope the two together when the decision requires both.
What information will you need?
Policies, process documents, metadata, anonymised samples and interviews are the starting point. Production customer data is not required. Data handling and any authorised use of AI tools are agreed before work starts.
