What should a founder assess before investing in AI?
Start with a business problem, a process owner and a way to measure improvement. Then examine whether the data, working practices and governance can support the change.
A useful first step is to choose one decision or process where the current cost or friction is understood. Test a value hypothesis before widening the investment. The right question is what needs to improve and what evidence would show that it has.
02 / JRDN ADVISORY
How is AI readiness different from AI value analysis?
Readiness asks whether the organisation can adopt AI responsibly and effectively. Value analysis asks where an investment may produce a worthwhile business outcome.
A promising use case can still face data, integration or ownership gaps. A capable organisation can still choose a weak use case. Examining both helps separate the appeal of an idea from the work needed to make it useful.

Why can experienced leaders hit a promotion plateau?
A wider role may require evidence beyond strong delivery: enterprise judgement, influence, developing others and clear communication of business value.
Begin with the expectations of the next role. Seek specific feedback, identify where your impact is already visible and examine which experiences or relationships would strengthen your readiness. Coaching can help you work through those choices; it cannot guarantee a promotion.
04 / JRDN ADVISORY
What does executive presence look like in practice?
It shows up in observable behaviour: framing the real issue, making your thinking clear, listening under pressure and taking ownership of a decision.
Pick a real meeting. What did the room need from you? What did you say or leave unsaid? What happened next? Working with concrete situations creates a more useful development conversation than trying to imitate someone else’s style.
05 / JRDN ADVISORY
What should an AWS partner review when scaling?
Review pipeline quality, conversion, delivery capability and practice economics together. Growth becomes harder to sustain when sales commitments and delivery capacity develop separately.
Use a regular review to connect alliance activity, MAP opportunities, skills, delivery ownership and commercial measures. Choose metrics that support decisions rather than adding reporting for its own sake.
